Vanilla pod or stick vanilla is the form of vanilla that gives the most intense vanilla flavor. It has an intense taste and smell. Vanilla beans are harvested from vanilla orchids while they are still green and not fully mature.
Vanilla extract, vanilla powder are obtained from the vanilla pod. For a more intense vanilla flavor, cut the vanilla stick with a knife on a cutting board. You can then scrape out the grains inside the stick with the edge of the knife.
You can add vanilla sticks directly to desserts or add them to cake batter. You can use it especially in milk desserts, jams or cake making. It can also be used to make ice cream and sherbet. It can also be preferred to add intense aroma to coffees.
