To chop broccoli before boiling it, follow these steps:

  • Rinse the broccoli under cold running water.
  • Cut off the tough ends of the broccoli stem and discard them.
  • Cut the head of broccoli into small florets with your hands or a knife.

  • Fill half of a pan with water and add a pinch of salt, which helps soften the broccoli and maintain its bright green color. Boil over medium heat.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the broccoli. Cut a broccoli head into medium-sized flowers. A florist should look like a small tree. Cut each body to make it shorter and smoother, and divide it into two to equalize the larger ones. You can throw the broccoli handle and fry it in the pan.
  • Place the flowers in a container and rinse under the flowing tap. Then, gently place in the boiled water container. Reduce the temperature by one step, cover the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  • Check a few flowers with a knife. If the blade easily enters the broccoli, it has softened to the proper consistency. Carefully strain the pot.
  • Be sure to strain the broccoli thoroughly before serving.

  • Cut the broccoli into small pieces. The size of the flowers affects the cooking time.
  • Use a large pot.
  • Do not overcook the broccoli. Otherwise, the vegetable will become mushy and may lose its green color.
  • To check if the broccoli is cooked, insert a fork or knife into the florets. If it goes into the vegetables easily, the broccoli is cooked.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the broccoli from the pan. This will drain excess water.
  • Rinse the vegetable with cold water. This stops the vegetable from cooking.
