Recipes with Tofu
Tofu is a cheese made from soybeans. Also known as soy cheese. It is a frequently used ingredient in Far East cuisines such as Japan, Thailand and China. It does not contain milk and the amount of protein is high.
It is a great alternative to meat in vegan and vegetarian recipes. Tofu has a neutral flavor. In this way, it can be used in many recipes. There are four different types of tofu: silken tofu, medium tofu, firm tofu, and extra-firm tofu. Among these varieties are different in density and texture.
Silky tofu is used in soups, desserts, sauces and smoothies. It is used in recipes that include medium tofu, miso soup, broth, seaweed, or served on the side. Hard tofu is often used in stir-fries because of its dense texture. Compressed tofu is ideal for marinating and grilling.
