Tips

  • Always wash strawberries thoroughly before using and do not forget to remove their stems. Only use fresh strawberries.
  • Add full-fat milk to the smoothie. It will help in preparing a thick smoothie.
  • Try to use sweeteners to a limit. Strawberry smoothie is a high-calorie drink and so, try not to add much sweetness to it. Consuming smoothies with too much sweetener regularly can invite multiple unwanted health issues like weight gain, heart disease, liver disease, and diabetes.
  • Adding frozen bananas to smoothie makes its consistency thicker.

Do You Have To Use Frozen Strawberries For A Smoothie?

It is not mandatory to use frozen strawberries to make a strawberry smoothie but using frozen strawberries will give it a better thick icy consistency. You can not have that creamy smoothie while using fresh strawberries. So, it is always better to use frozen strawberries than using fresh strawberries while preparing a strawberry smoothie.

What Should You Not Mix In A Strawberry Smoothie?

You should not add too many fruits or sweeteners to your smoothie. Too many fruits or sweeteners will make you intake more carbs and calories than you require. This can cause multiple health hazards. So, try to skip adding too much of those.

What To Serve With A Strawberry Smoothie?

A strawberry smoothie is a great start to the day. You can have it with some fresh fruits, or with some fluffy vanilla cake. If you are planning on a healthy dessert then add a scoop of vanilla on the top of your smoothie with a drizzle of maple syrup.

How To Store Strawberry Smoothies?

Storing some strawberry smoothies for later is not a hard job but still, you have to keep a few things in mind while doing that. First, we have to reduce the surface area of the storage container so that the smoothie does not come in contact with the air.

And then, you should use a container with an airtight lid to store it. Strawberry smoothies can be ok in the fridge for 2 days max and in the freezer for up to 2 and half months if they are stored properly.

You can add some lemon juice to prevent the smoothie from spoiling. Vitamin C present in lemon juice will prevent oxidation.
