Tips

  • Use fresh mint. If the mint looks wilted, soak in ice water for 10 minutes.
  • Be careful not to tear the mint leaves. This causes the bitterness of the stem to pass into the drink.
  • As you add the mint to the mixture, gently whisk it between your hands to release the mint flavor and oils. Then put it in your drink with the top of the branch just above the surface.
  • You can make the drink with a cocktail shaker. You can also use a muddle or wooden spoon.
  • Do not over shake the cocktail mix. Otherwise, the minty flavor and texture may become bitter.
  • Adjust the recipe to your taste. You can reduce the amount of rum to reduce the alcohol content according to your desire.
  • You can use honey syrup or agave syrup instead of white sugar.
  • If you want a sweeter drink, you can increase the amount of sugar. If you want to make a sugar-free cocktail, remove the sugar completely.
  • You can use the sprigs of mint for decoration.
  • A clear, light or white rum known as blanco is used to make mojitos. Bacardi, El Dorado 3 Years, Plantation 3 Stars or Flor de CaƱa are some of the best rums.
  • Use fresh lemon juice.
  • Pour the drink over the club soda. This allows the soda water to drain evenly through the beverage.

What is a Mojito?

Mojito is an alcoholic cocktail of traditional Cuban origin. It began to be used as a medicinal tonic in the 16th century.

It has been popular in the USA since the late 1980s, the Mojito is now a popular cocktail all over the world. The mojito is traditionally made with five ingredients: rum, sugar, lime, soda and mint.

What Is the Best Rum for Mojitos?

Mojito is one of my favorite rum cocktails. It is traditionally made with white rum, sugar, limes, mint and soda. Avoid using spiced rum as an alternative to white rum. Spices can reduce the freshness and flavor of mint and lemon. Some of the best white rum brands are Bacardi Silver Rum, Appleton White Rum, Havana Club Anejo Blanco Rum etc.

How To Make Mojito Without A Cocktail Shaker?

If you don't have a cocktail shaker to prepare a mojito cocktail, you can use a muddler. First of all, prepare the materials. In a highball glass, add sugar, mint leaves and some soda. Stir the ingredients with the stir stick to increase the mint flavor and dissolve the sugar. Then squeeze 2 half-lime lemons into the glass. Add the rum and mix the ingredients well. Add ice cubes to the glass. Add the remaining soda on top. Serve with mint sprigs and lime wedges.
