Tips

  • Cook the garlic on low heat. Otherwise, the high heat can burn the garlic.
  • To test if the garlic is cooked, mash the garlic with a fork. If it's too soft, turn off the heat. If it is hard, boil it for another 10-15 minutes.

  1. Peel the garlic cloves and trim the ends.
  2. Heat the oil in the pan. Add the garlic to the pot and cook for about 30-40 minutes on medium-low heat with the lid closed.
  3. Cook the garlic until golden brown or soft.
  4. Take the pot off the stove. Cool the garlic at room temperature.
  5. Put the garlic mixture in a heatproof glass jar or container.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
