Tips

  • Use eggs at room temperature.
  • You can use fresh corn, canned corn, or frozen corn. If you're using frozen corn, be sure to thaw it beforehand.
  • You can use arrowroot starch or tapioca flour instead of cornstarch.
  • You can use cream instead of milk.
  • If you want the corn pudding to be less watery, drain the canned corn before adding it to the recipe.
  • If you want to make salty corn pudding, skip the sugar. Add savory seasonings such as garlic powder, smoked paprika, or cumin.
  • You can add different ingredients to the recipe. You can add flavor to the recipe with a variety of melted grated cheeses, such as mozzarella and cheddar cheese. You can also add heat to the recipe with jalapenos, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce. You can add a smoky flavor with bacon slices.
  • Use a casserole dish, glass baking dish, or an aluminum pan for this recipe. Do not forget to oil the baking pan.
  • Set the cooking temperature and time.
  • To check if the pudding is done, insert a fork or toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the pudding is done. Otherwise, continue cooking for a while.
