  1. Rinse the mushrooms under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut off the stems of the mushrooms and slice the mushrooms ½ inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, marinade mushrooms with olive oil, lemon juice, and taco seasoning.
  3. Chop the red onions and garlic.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic.
  5. Then turn on the stove. Cook the mushrooms over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Warm the tortillas in the pan.
  7. Add some mushroom filling, guacamole, salsa, or whatever toppings you like inside each warm tortilla.
  8. Serve them with lime wedges.

  • You can use any type of mushroom. Portobello mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, or oyster mushrooms are ideal for making mushroom tacos.
  • Rinse the mushrooms. Gently clean the dirt on it.
  • Marinate the mushrooms. Mix olive oil, lemon juice and spices in a bowl and set aside for 10 minutes. You can add soy sauce to the marinade mix if desired.
  • Fry the mushrooms over high heat. This makes the mushrooms crispy. Otherwise, the liquid they release will not evaporate.
