Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil the potatoes without peeling them in a pot of hot water. Make sure not to cook it completely.
  2. Take the potatoes out of the pot and let them cool.
  3. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Then chop the garlic and crush it with a garlic press.
  4. Heat ¼ cup olive oil in a medium frying pan. Add the onion and sauté over medium heat until translucent or 5-6 minutes. Then add the crushed garlic and sauté the ingredients for a few more minutes. Make sure not to burn the garlic.
  5. Turn the stove down. Add the smoked paprika and cayenne pepper. Mix all the ingredients.
  6. Add the flour to the pan and mix well so that flour lumps do not form. Let all the ingredients sit in the hot pan for a few minutes. Then slowly add the water, stirring constantly. Keep mixing until the sauce thickens.
  7. Bring the sauce to a boil over high heat and add salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens or for 4-5 minutes.
  8. When the sauce is thick and creamy, remove the pan from the heat. Let it cool for a few minutes. Put the sauce in a blender to get a smooth texture.
  9. Peel and dice the cooled potatoes.
  10. Heat ¼ cup of olive oil in a large skillet. Add half of the potatoes you cut according to the size of your pan to the pan.
  11. Fry on medium heat until the potato cubes are fully cooked or lightly golden on the outside. Turn the potatoes regularly.
  12. After the potatoes are cooked, drain the excess oil with the help of a strainer and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Then fry the remaining potatoes in the same way.
  13. Serve the potatoes with the bravas sauce.
