  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Grease the baking tray with olive oil or line with parchment paper.
  2. Remove the outer leaves of the cauliflower. Cut the stem in half. Place the cauliflower flat side down on a cutting board. Cut into 4-6 slices of about ¾ inch. Set the remaining cauliflower aside to use in a different recipe.
  3. In a small bowl, add olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Place 4 cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet and brush both sides with the olive oil mixture.
  5. Put the cauliflower slices in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Then flip the cauliflower steaks with the help of a fork. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cauliflower is browned and golden brown. Insert a fork in the center of the cauliflower to check for doneness. If it is soft, it is cooked.
  6. Remove the cauliflower slices from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Then, with the help of a spatula, transfer the roasted cauliflower steaks to the serving plate.
  8. Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve it warm.
